Taylor’s Roofing Contractors Founded 1958

Taylor’s Roofing Contractors is a third generation, Family run business. Founded in October 1958, By Geoff and John Taylor. The two of them were not related, but met whist working for Whitworth Slaters, as time served Roofers.

Initially using a handcart to transport their ladders, tools and materials. They then proceeded to using a modified motorbike with side car. Finally in the mid 1960’s Taylor’s Roofing Contractors purchased a converted Jowett Javelin and didn’t look back.

Next generation of Roofers

Geoff’s son, Colin joined the company in 1974, Upon Geoff’s retirement he took over running the business. Colin’s eldest son was interested in the family business from a very early age, Often helping his Dad and Grandad at weekends. When Lance left school in 1993 he began working full time for Taylor’s Roofing Contractor And has ran the company since 2007.

Established Reputation

In the decades that the business has been trading, we’ve built up a solid reputation for Re Roofing schools and Municipal buildings for local councils, Carried out work for Greater Manchester Police and the NHS.

We’ve also worked on countless projects on both commercial and residential properties, with many delighted Customers, Resulting in further work via recommendations.
